Kingwood Childcare in Uffculme has recently moved into modern, superbly refurbished premises specifically designed for the secure and safe care of young children. It’s a secluded setting, nearby to Magelake and the river which we visit regularly to develop physical skills and learn about our environment. We have our own allotment in the village which the children love to visit, where we grow fruit and vegetables often included in the meals created by our own chefs.
Our children are divided into their own family groups so we can cater and plan appropriately for their varying ages and unique stages of development:
Elm from birth to 16 months; Chestnut from 16 months to 2 years; Willow for 2-3 year olds; Maple for younger Pre-School children; Oak for older Pre-School children, and Elder for School aged children.
On joining Kingwood all children are given a Key Teacher. Their role is to help ensure that every child’s care and education is tailored to their individual needs. The Key Teacher will also be responsible in helping to ensure your child settles in to Kingwood or a new family group. They will build close relationships with your child and take time to get to know the whole family. If you have any questions or want to discuss your child’s progress, your Key Teacher will be your first point of contact.
